In recent years, oil and gas fields with high H2S(sulfur dioxide), high CO2(carbon dioxide), high Cl –(chloridion), high temperature, high pressure and sulfur element have appeared. These corrosion conditions have led to extremely serious corrosion of oil pipes, especially under the joint action of temperature and pressure, which is very easy to cause accidents such as perforation and cracking of pipes, even fire, explosion and other accidents endangering people's life and property safety.
The medium transported by gathering and
transportation system is usually multiphase flow medium with gas, water,
hydrocarbon and solid particles coexisting. In order to increase the
production, it is necessary to increase the transportation capacity of
multiphase flow medium or adopt large diameter pipe transportation. As a result,
the complexity of conveying fluid is caused and the corrosion of pipeline inner
wall is intensified.For the exploitation of oil and gas fields with strong
corrosivity, the traditional anti-corrosion technologies and materials, such as
adding corrosion inhibitor, using anticorrosive coating, using
corrosion-resistant alloy pure material, are difficult to balance the corrosion
resistance reliability and economic index.
u The process of corrosion inhibitor screening is long and the
workload is heavy. In some complex process and harsh environment, it is
difficult to select corrosion inhibitor. At the same time, the corrosion
inhibition effect of corrosion inhibitor injected on site is difficult to
guarantee, which has been difficult to meet the needs of oil and gas field
development.
u The anti-corrosion effect of the inner coating is related to the
coating or coating material (related to the technological level). Once the
leakage occurs, the corrosion will be accelerated.
u The cost of pure corrosion-resistant alloy is very high. Only about one
third of corrosion resistant alloy is used for corrosion resistance, and the
rest is used as structural support, resulting in a great waste of resources.
u Corrosion resistant alloy (pure material) is generally selected
according to the corrosion environment, usually choose stainless steel 316L,
nickel base alloy 825, 625, etc..
