Metallurgical clad pipe and Mechanical composite pipe
Bimetallic clad pipe is the thin-wall
corrosion-resistant alloy lined ordinary petroleum pipe. The corrosion
resistant metal can be selected according to the corrosion environment of oil
field. Normal materials are stainless steel 316L, super 13Cr, duplex stainless
2205, 22Cr, nickel-based alloy 825, etc.
Bimetallic clad pipe combines the
advantages of materials to show the advantages of high strength of base pipe
and corrosion resistance of lining pipe which improves pipelines safety and
extends pipeline life. The gathering and transportation cost of oil and gas
exploitation will be significantly reduced by reducing the usage of corrosion
resistant alloy pipe.
In the aspect of clad pipe manufacturing
method and production process, bimetallic clad pipe can be divided into two
categories according to the combination form of base pipe and lining pipe: mechanical
composite pipe and metallurgical clad pipe. However, mechanical
composite pipe, the inner pipe is easy to peel off due to low adhesion strength
between the outer pipe and the inner pipe. Especially when the mechanical pipe
is made outer corrosion prevention(such as: 3PE) under the condition of high
temperature (200℃), it easily appears collapse which will bring the loss of
engineering downtime and potential safety hazard. When the mechanical composite
pipe is handled the end groove sealing, the quality stability of seal welding
is extremely high, which can easily cause welding defects and affect butt
welding on site.
Application principle of
corrosion-resistant metallurgical clad pipe:
The wall thickness of base pipe is used as
the pressure bearing layer to ensure the safety of pressure.
The wall thickness of inner pipe is used as
the functional layer to make the base pipe more resistant to corrosion.
Tianyang metallurgical clad pipe(Pressure Melting&Anchoring Techology):
OD: 19~350mm
WT of base pipe: 2~36mm
WT of inner pipe: 0.5~5mm
